Greedy buyers.com

October 6 is one of the most memorable day in the history of online retailers, yes the day of Big Billion Day” sale on Flipkart surely is a day that would go down the history for taking a big leap in online retail business.  I unfortunately did not get a change to visit the site that day,  but the next day when I checked Twitter;  Flipkart was trending for all negative reasons and then Facebook was newsfeed except articles, posts, open letters, memes, accusations flung into Flipkart’s face telling them how they’ve let us down..  Then the next day comes a mail from Flip kart asking for an apology and giving out reasons for why it was not great success.
So I just analyzed what went wrong, when my friend said that things were getting sold out in seconds, some said I could not access the site at all, some said the prices were varying a lot and blah-blah.
My response is Mr. Bansal do you think any ordinary guy would understand what the hell is a server? Then why give this technically loaded jargons in an apology letter? But one thing that we should credit this guys for setting up a company with about 6000 people if not more, which is experiencing unprecedented growth in the last few years and trust me it’s extremely difficult to lead a company when thousands are joining your team with loads of aspiration and dreams. These guys are doing a commendable job.
Then come people talking about how Flipkart is a homegrown product/service and that they had faith in it, and now it’s gone and it’s a Flipkart.con, some say it’s just not there cup to tea to make it big etc. That’s absurd and very discouraging. They have their back against the wall. Amazon is trying to take over the market, they’re putting in money like crazy just trying to compete. Instead of helping Flipkart out, at this crucial stage, when they just wanted to try something new, take a plunge, you’re going to criticise, because all you people out there can handle 6000(approx) people working for you. Because all you people out there can manage servers (and know what a server is) and I’m sure every one of you has the guts to do something as massive as this even though the stakes, the risks, and the investment are so high.
Can we people in India stop trying to get a freebie, seriously we are so used to getting things for free that it has become part of our DNA to seek for free things and brazenly ask for unthinkable discounts. Mistakes are made by the biggest and the best. (Remember JC penny in US? Or Kodak?)
It’s great to see Amazon and Flipkart battling it out, and to be honest I’m rooting for Flip kart. Amazon is good, best, wonderful all the best adjectives you want please add. But you know what, Flipkart has bigger B***. Yes they certainly have guts to digest failure which none of the guys who made fun of them have and this includes me.  Amazon just has tons of money and nothing new or hot.
Yes they screwed up, but its ok, next time they won’t. I am sure they will learn their lessons.
I don’t work for Flipkart, nor am I being paid for this. But I am sick and tired of hearing about this for so many days. You’re a bunch of ungrateful people who just want free shit. And that’s the reason when the sale started you couldn’t get anything, because other people like you bought it first. And so fast, that it was over.
We Indians are such shameless people who will bargain for 1 Rs. with a vegetable vendor but will not mind leaving a 50 Rs. bill as tip in a restaurant after eating food which was cooked two days back. We are ungrateful shameless people living in this country who don’t appreciate that there are people far better and far smarter, taking bigger risks than you, and sure they’ve failed but they TRIED. I’m sure half of you can’t even text your crush (I am one of them). Or couldn’t even tell your parents you loved someone so instead settled for an arranged marriage. Pathetic.
These guys took on Amazon, and they’re battling it out every day. I’m a nobody, but I say that we get over it and fucking help them. Give them a change because they deserve it. Because I want these guys to succeed. Mistakes are made, forgiving them is what counts. They didn’t really cheat you, you were greedy, and didn’t want to pay.
GET OVER IT. HONESTLY. GET OVER IT.
To Bansal brothers, don’t screw up again. This game isn’t for people who aren’t prepared. You worried Jeff Bezos was shitting in his pants so much that he had to fly to India a few days ago. And I like that. I love to see these American CEO’s running around to with their d*** in hands. And stop giving us lecture on how great America is.
But get your act together, I am giving you another chance because I want to. And because I know that I could never do what you guys are doing and I respect that.

But for god’s sake spend the extra money on a double spread ad next time. Those Snapdeal guys had you by the balls. You were almost there. Get back in the game, let’s see round two.
You aren’t fully forgiven, you’re being permitted to sing me love songs and get me back to buying shit from you. So tread cautiously.
There will not be a next time after this. Take risks. But delay taking those risks even if there is a minor chance of error. Fix those errors. Every bug should be stress tested. Fuck those servers up during testing. You’re dealing with a “Greedy Fucking Nation”.
Btw, can the country now get back on track and worry about the government, women’s rights, racism, and other more important things.
One mismanagement of a sale has gotten people to ignore these important matters yet again.
Humanity is screwed and forgotten by people easily and that is the problem.
